Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to the Knect website, public card pages and QR resolver links. Paid subscriptions and workspace accounts are additionally governed by our Terms & Conditions.

Last updated: August 28, 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing https://link.cpxs.ca or any Knect card or QR link, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to form a binding contract under the laws of your province or territory.

2. Permitted use

You may use Knect to create, share and scan digital business cards. You must not:

  • impersonate another person or organization, or publish contact details you are not authorized to share;
  • use the service for unsolicited commercial electronic messages contrary to CASL;
  • upload unlawful, hateful, defamatory, obscene or infringing content;
  • scrape, bulk-harvest or resell contact information obtained through the service;
  • attempt to bypass authentication, tenancy isolation, rate limits or QR identifier controls; or
  • interfere with the availability, integrity or security of the service.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity in your workspace. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you publish. You grant Knect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt for display and transmit that content solely to operate the service, including generating vCards, QR codes and wallet passes. You represent that you have the rights and consents needed for all personal information and imagery you publish.

5. Permanent QR identifiers

QR identifiers issued by Knect are permanent and are not reassigned. Deleting a card or closing your account disables the associated links; printed codes will then resolve to an unavailable page. We are not responsible for materials you have already printed or distributed.

6. Intellectual property

The Knect name, logo, software and design are owned by Knect and its licensors. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.

7. Availability and changes

The service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms. Material changes take effect when posted with a revised date, and continued use constitutes acceptance.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Knect disclaims implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable Canadian consumer protection legislation, including the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights in your home province or territory.
